Privacy Policy

EmeraldApps ("we", "our", or "us") operates the VoiceZero — AI Meeting Notes iOS application (the "App"). This policy explains our data practices.
The Short Version
VoiceZero collects no data. Your voice, transcripts, meeting notes, and summaries never leave your device. We have no servers receiving your information, no analytics tracking your behavior, and no accounts linking any data to you. The App Store privacy label reads Data Not Collected — this policy exists to explain exactly why that is true.
Data We Collect
We collect nothing.
- No name, email address, phone number, or any contact information.
- No device identifiers, advertising identifiers, or user IDs.
- No usage data, product interaction data, or diagnostics.
- No crash reports or performance metrics.
- No location data.
- No audio recordings, transcripts, summaries, or meeting notes.
All processing — transcription, AI summarization, action item extraction, and meeting storage — happens entirely on your device using Apple's on-device frameworks. No data is transmitted to EmeraldApps or any third party.
Audio and Transcription
VoiceZero uses your device microphone to transcribe meetings. Audio is processed in memory and, where applicable, stored as a local session file on your device to enable post-recording transcription. This data exists only on your iPhone and is never transmitted off-device.
Transcription is performed by one of two on-device engines:
- Apple Speech framework — built into iOS, processes audio entirely on-device.
- WhisperKit — an open-source, on-device CoreML/Metal implementation. Inference runs locally on your device. No audio is sent to any server.
WhisperKit Model Downloads
If you choose to use WhisperKit, the App downloads a machine learning model file (75 MB – 800 MB depending on the tier you select) directly to your device over HTTPS. This download is the only outbound network request the App makes. The request is made to a public model distribution server. No personal data, device identifiers, or usage information is included in or attached to this request.
Apple In-App Purchase
VoiceZero is sold as a one-time purchase processed entirely by Apple. EmeraldApps does not receive, store, or process any payment card details or financial information. Apple's handling of payment data is governed by Apple's own Privacy Policy.
Third-Party SDKs and Services
The App contains no third-party analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, attribution SDKs, or crash-reporting SDKs. No data is shared with any third party.
Data Storage and Security
All meeting data — transcripts, AI-generated notes, and summaries — is stored locally on your device using SwiftData. Data is protected by iOS's standard file-protection mechanisms and encrypted at rest on devices with a passcode enabled. EmeraldApps has no access to this data at any time.
You can delete any or all of your meeting data directly within the App. Uninstalling the App removes all locally stored data.
Children's Privacy
VoiceZero does not collect any data from any user, including children under the age of 13. The App is not directed to children.
App Tracking Transparency
VoiceZero does not track users across apps or websites owned by other companies. The App does not use Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework because there is no tracking to request permission for.
Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the effective date above and post the revised policy at this URL. Because we collect no data, changes are unlikely to affect your privacy in practice.
